Franco Colapinto will start from the pits
The Alpine driver changed a number of parts on his car before the start. He will therefore have to start from the pits.

About an hour before the start, the starting grid was not yet fully set. The FIA announced the relegation of Franco Colapinto. The Argentine changed numerous parts on his car between qualifying and the start.
He now benefits from a new engine, a new turbo, a new MGU-K, a new MGU-H, new batteries, as well as a new electronic control unit.
All these changes, outside the quota allowed by Formula 1 regulations, mean that he will have to start from the pit lane.
As a reminder, the Alpine driver had qualified last after going off the track during Q1.
