Nico Hülkenberg finally has his F1 podium
The German made the most of the unpredictable weather to get the best out of his Sauber. After 239 Grand Prix races, he finally earned a podium finish.

An indescribable joy. Both for Nico Hülkenberg and for Sauber. In his 239th Formula 1 start, the German finally achieved his first podium in the discipline, after chasing it for many years.
The winner of the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans had come very close on numerous occasions but had never managed to step onto the podium until now. At Silverstone, he managed to navigate skillfully through challenging conditions with changing weather and an aggressive Lewis Hamilton behind him.
Despite all these elements, the German delivered a perfect performance to secure his podium. This also proves the progress made by his team recently. With this result, Nico Hülkenberg offered Sauber its first podium since the 2012 Japanese Grand Prix with Kamui Kobayashi.
