It’s an event that brings together numerous vintage machines, including historic Formula 1 cars. When European and Asian tracks begin to see reduced activity due to cool temperatures and gloomy weather, in the Gulf, they’re operating at full capacity.

For several years, the Gulf Historic Grand Prix Revival has been held in this part of the world, notably at the Dubai Autodrome. But this year, the event was scheduled at the Yas Marina Circuit, which hosts the final round of the F1 World Championship, from October 31 to November 2.

But it will ultimately not take place. In a press release, the organizers revealed the reason. « Although we have worked diligently to plan this year’s edition, unforeseen logistical challenges have arisen that could affect the timely arrival of cars and equipment in the United Arab Emirates. After carefully considering all possible solutions, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the event. A new date will be confirmed and communicated in due course. »

« We will now focus on enhancing and perfecting every element of the event. Gulf Historic will return stronger than ever, continuing to celebrate the golden age of motorsport with an unmatched blend of historic races and immersive experiences. »
