They are inseparable now – and will certainly never part this season. McLaren drivers dominate the Formula 1 season. This is reflected in the standings, as Oscar Piastri now only has a nine-point lead over his teammate.

Behind, the gap is enormous with the rest of the pack. It should be noted that George Russell, thanks to his podium at the Hungaroring, managed to surpass Max Verstappen.

Fernando Alonso, with his fifth place, jumped in the standings, moving from 14 points to 24 points. Gabriel Bortoleto tripled his tally and now has 12 points.

In the constructors’ standings, McLaren is logically in the lead with 460 points, 235 ahead of Mercedes, which has taken second place from Ferrari. The Scuderia is three places behind the star-branded team.

The strong performance of Aston Martin in Hungary allows them to move up to sixth place with 44 points, putting pressure on Williams, who have eleven more. Sauber has also surpassed Haas, who scored zero points. Alpine remains in the last place with only the eleven points from Pierre Gasly.
