McLaren to hold exceptional auction in Abu Dhabi in December
Three racing cars from upcoming seasons will be on sale to celebrate McLaren's legacy of winning the Triple Crown over the course of its glorious history.

Auctions are rampant lately in Formula 1. Recently, several record sales have taken place concerning legendary cars in the sport’s history. For example, an old Michael Schumacher Ferrari or an Ayrton Senna McLaren have been sold for several million dollars.
It is precisely McLaren that will once again be making headlines with auctioneers by the end of 2025. The British team has just announced that it will be selling several of its racing vehicles on December 5 in Abu Dhabi, on the eve of the last Grand Prix of the season.
A few weeks ago, the team led by Zak Brown decided to refocus its motorsport activities around three major competitions: Formula 1, IndyCar, and Endurance, thereby abandoning Formula E.
To highlight this triple commitment, McLaren will offer for sale a Formula 1 single-seater meeting the technical regulations of the 2026 season, an Indycar that will participate in the Indianapolis 500 next year, and a Hypercar from the team that will compete in the World Endurance Championship in 2027. The sale of race cars not yet unveiled to the public is exceptional for this type of event.
« This auction is an extraordinary opportunity to own a piece of motorsport history and to bid on a car before its official launch. The Triple Crown is an important part of our heritage, and we are determined to claim it once again as we prepare to enter the World Endurance Championship in 2027 », said Zak Brown during the announcement of this auction at the Monterey Car Week, currently being held in California.
It will be interesting to see to what extent McLaren will reveal the design of its future 2026 single-seater as well as its Hypercar planned for 2027. Next season, Formula 1 will begin a new chapter in its history with engines featuring even more advanced electrification and a completely redesigned aerodynamics.
The minimum bid amount has not yet been revealed for these unique pieces from the McLaren collection, which will be delivered to future owners after their official launch in competition.
