Adam Carroll set the fastest time on the first day of testing in Jerez, Spain. After three days and the crowning of Glock as driver champion and iSport as constructor champion, it is this same team that takes the lead for its first interseason tests.

Carroll, who was thus replacing Timo Glock, was ahead by 0.2 seconds of the Spaniard Andy Soucek on DPR.

Bruno Senna with Campos Racing set the third fastest time of the day, ahead of Mike Conway with ART Grand Prix, by more than 0.3 seconds. The Englishman outpaced his teammate at ART, Sébastien Buemi, for the 2nd and 3rd fastest times of the afternoon, but the Swiss driver could only achieve the 6th fastest time of the day, as many good times were set this morning.

Roldan Rodriguez signs the fourth-best time of the day for Minardi, who hopes to be even better tomorrow with Carroll, who will indeed change teams for these two days of testing.
