Ecclestone wants neither Alonso nor Räikkönen for the title

According to Bernie Ecclestone – Formula 1’s boss – Lewis Hamilton would be the ideal new world champion to bring F1 back on track after Michael Schumacher’s departure.

He also admits that Fernando Alonso is not a world champion because, according to him, he has done nothing for F1 since his two world titles.

Always for Ecclestone, Räikkönen also does not have the soul of a world champion because he « talks to almost no one ».

“It would be difficult for me not to imagine Lewis Hamilton being world champion,” admitted Bernie Ecclestone. “In fact, my main concern would be that he doesn’t win this season.”
