Williams seems in shape for the season finale. The Anglo-Saxon team placed its drivers in the top 8 three times out of four, and only Nakajima in the first session ranked at the back of the grid. The Japanese driver is replacing Alexander Wurz, who retired from his active role. He needs to find his footing, and the 8th place in the second session demonstrates all of Nakajima’s talent.

Tomorrow, Williams expects a lot from his last Grand Prix, and the qualifying will play an important role in finding the right strategy.

Nico Rosberg – 4th and 7th

« It was a very good day for us, especially with the wet track, but you always need to stay cautious on Fridays. »

« We did not show our true potential, but it is probably the same for everyone today. We had a dry track in the afternoon, and we now know that tire choice is going to be difficult. We tried some very different settings, it wasn’t perfect, but we will make the right decisions for tomorrow. »

Kazuki Nakajima – 16th and 8th

« It was a very good Friday for my first as a starter, especially this afternoon. My time is quite close to Nico [Rosberg], which was my goal. »

« We had some balance issues with the single-seater, but I think it’s the same for everyone here. The track is really good and it’s a pleasure to drive. I look forward to the qualifying session tomorrow. »

Sam Michael – Technical Director

« It was a rainy morning but we were still able to try both types of dry tires this afternoon. We didn’t have any problems with the cars, which is already good. »

« Kazuki did a good job on his first day as a race car driver and he will have to do it again tomorrow in qualifying. »
