This first day, which turned out to be wet at Interlagos, had a different impact depending on the drivers involved on behalf of the Red Bull team.

Indeed, it’s Coulthard who fares the best today, moving from 13th to 9th place after completing a total of 46 laps.

As for Webber, he proved to be more effective in the morning in the rain than in the afternoon with a track that was gradually drying. He finished 20th after the second session, whereas in the morning he had secured a very impressive 8th place.

Marc Webber – 8th and 20th

« The car was reliable. The track was very wet during the first session, so we couldn’t do many laps this morning. But we were able to put in a few more laps this afternoon. »

« We were learning about the tires on this new surface, and tonight, the biggest thing we need to look into is precisely tire management. I think everyone must be in the same situation, which is why we need to work hard tonight to think about what will happen tomorrow and Sunday. »

David Coulhard- 13th and 9th

« It was a normal Friday of testing, we completed the program that was planned for this purpose. This should lead us to tomorrow’s qualifying session initially, and in the long term to Sunday’s race. »

« Clearly, the conditions are very variable, which has made things a bit more difficult. The track is much more enjoyable to drive than it was before, following the improvements that have been made over the past year. »
