Williams report – A team and drivers that shine

Williams concludes the 2007 season on a very positive note. The team confirms its 4th place in the World Championship ahead of Red Bull thanks to the fine performances of its two young drivers.

Nico Rosberg concludes the season with the best performance of his F1 career with a 4th place, while Kazuki Nakajima takes a very impressive 10th place in his first F1 Grand Prix. The Japanese driver hit two of his mechanics during his second pit stop but did not let it distract him and showed encouraging performances. The mechanics are currently receiving treatment at the São Paulo hospital.

Nico Rosberg – 4th

I am very happy! It’s a great result for the team and for me, because fourth is my best result in F1 so far.

« This performance is due to the tremendous work of my engineers who worked all weekend to improve the FW29. During my second stint, my strategy showed its limits with a heavy fuel load and quickly worn tires, but in the final stint, I was really efficient. »

« There was strong pressure today to maintain our position in the championship, but we did it and with a great performance. So I can enjoy a pleasant and relaxed winter! »

Kazuki Nakajima – 10th

« First of all, I would like to apologize to the mechanics who were injured during refueling and I hope they are doing well. It was a good first race for me, but it wasn’t really highlighted… »

The car was very well balanced, I stayed behind Sato for a long time after a good start but I passed him and held on physically!

Patrick Head – Director of Engineering

Congratulations to Kimi Räikkönen who had a great race to secure the title. For our part, it’s a very good end to the season.
