Yesterday in Paris, the FIA World Council approved the 2008 calendar for the FIA WTCC.
11 circuits are on the program, including Japan on October 26 at the Okayama International Circuit, formerly known as the Aida Tanaka International Circuit. The track, located halfway between Hiroshima and Osaka on the island of Honshu, was previously known for hosting the Pacific Grand Prix in 1994 and 1995.
As in 2007, the next season will start in Curitiba, Brazil, and end in Macau.
With two races always on the program each weekend, there will be 22 races spread throughout the year 2008 with the primary goal of providing spectacle, overtaking, and great drivers!
