The seven-time Formula 1 world champion, Michael Schumacher, got back behind the wheel of an F1 car yesterday during a special demonstration as part of the celebration of Scuderia Ferrari’s constructors and drivers’ titles.
The German drove the latest version of the reds, the F2007, on the Fiorano circuit, where the prancing horse team is located.
Although still present in the F1 paddocks, Schumacher had never had the opportunity to drive the F2007. He therefore tested it for 4 to 5 laps, without recording any time.
The last time the German drove a single-seater was for Ferrari’s 60th anniversary on this same circuit with an F2004.
The young retiree, who left the position of starter at the end of last season as the vice-world champion, took the opportunity to enjoy himself, but also to delight his fans and his leaders since a large part of the FIAt management was present this Wednesday.
