This event, the Race of Champions, will take place in December at Wembley Stadium. This race will see an attendance of 80,000 people.

« Every year I watched the Race of Champions on television and I always dreamed of participating one day, » said the 20-year-old, who was barely four years old when his future teammate for the ROC, Schumacher, made his F1 debut in 1991.

“It’s fantastic to be invited; I am so happy. Representing the German team with Michael Schumacher is a great honor for me,” he continued.

Wembley will be transformed into a race track where 1,800 tons of asphalt will be used for the event on December 16, allowing the various drivers present to fine-tune their skills to determine the Champion of Champions.

There are two competitions: The Race of Champions, where drivers will compete against each other for the ultimate win. And the Nations Cup, where drivers will team up to defend the colors of their home country.

Schumacher, who has never raced with Vettel, says he is happy with the planned choice on this occasion and that Germany can be optimistic about its chances of final victory.

« I’m really looking forward to teaming up with Sebastian for the Race of Champions, » said the seven-time world champion.

I met Sebastian at one point, having presented him with a trophy after a karting race when he was still a young boy.

« I remember being impressed by his maturity. I still am this year, after his debut in F1, and I’m sure we will have a lot of fun racing together, » concluded Michael Schumacher.
