Luca di Montezemolo, the head of Ferrari, refuted all rumors that Jean Todt’s reign at the helm of the Ferrari team is about to end.

For a few weeks, the French director has been in the spotlight as his future within the Scuderia has been called into question. Indeed, Todt was not keen on a certain Alonso joining the team in place of Massa, who is managed by his own son, Nicolas Todt.

It was said, in this regard opposed to di Montezemolo, but the latter has just confirmed Massa as the main driver at Ferrari until 2010.

Todt, who has led the brand since 1993, is currently the chief executive officer of the entire Ferrari organization.

« Until further notice, he will have the same functions as before, while having the sports management under his wing, » said di Montezemolo, after a FIAT Group board meeting earlier in the week.

It is said that the two strongmen of the Scuderia have perfect trust in each other, despite Luca di Montezemolo’s apparent desire to see Ross Brawn in charge of the famous F1 team in 2008 after a sabbatical.

« In any case, we will announce the team’s organization for 2008 at Christmas, » added the Italian.
