The financial results of the Super-Aguri F1 team in 2006 are not very good as a loss of 4.5 million pounds, or 9 million dollars, was recorded.

With one of the smallest budgets among the 11 teams that make up the F1 world, the team based in Leafield does not stand out for its revenue, which proves to be very modest.

And for good reason, F1 financial experts estimate that the Super-Aguri team received a total of 5 million dollars (or 2.5 million pounds) in revenue in 2006. In comparison, Scuderia Ferrari earned more than 180 million dollars (or 90 million pounds) in revenue.

Super-Aguri has fewer than 100 employees, while other F1 teams have between 500 and 1000 people working together.

Despite these disadvantages, the Japanese team members not only survived, but the progress made in 2007 was rewarded with a ninth place in the Constructors’ Championship.

Its financial viability relied on its Honda engine in exchange for advertising space on the car, which emerged this season.

In recent weeks, the team announced a series of new sponsorship deals, but several of them were a compromise for the home Grand Prix in Japan.
