Oliver Jarvis, who drove in two out of three races this season with A1 Team Great Britain, will again be part of the journey to China.

He should normally have been replaced by his compatriot Robbie Kerr according to the principle of alternation used by the British team and will also be accompanied by a ‘rookie’ in the person of Danny Watts.

The latter, winner of the 2002 Formula Renault UK, is expected to take the wheel during the first free practice session to learn on an A1GP and to conduct other tests in the near future, potentially even a full weekend.

« I am really happy to be back with the English team despite a tough end to the weekend in Malaysia, » admitted Jarvis. « We didn’t get the results we deserved at Sepang, but we were quick and will therefore be confident for Zhuhai. »

For his part, Watts was also hired for his good knowledge of the track, having raced several times on this Chinese circuit: « I obviously want to be as fast as possible in my trial session, but I also intend to ensure that the car is prepared in the best possible way to allow Oliver [Jarvis] to win both races and improve our position in the standings. »
