Vettel believes in it even with an old car…

Sebastian Vettel is convinced that Scuderia Toro Rosso has great chances of success in 2008, even though the next season will start for the drivers with older cars.

Vettel does not worry about this announcement and does not consider it an obstacle in any way.

« It’s now official, we will start the year 2008 with a car that has only been improved in a few areas, but not a new single-seater. I don’t think it’s a big disadvantage, » he said.

« All the team members are very motivated, the atmosphere is great, and I am really looking forward to participating in this new season. »

Vettel believes that his strong performances at the end of the year will be a great help at the start of the 2008 season. Among others, the Japanese Grand Prix, even though he crashed into the car in front of him while the safety car was deployed, or during the Chinese Grand Prix where the German finished 4th.

« It was a good race in Japan even if the end wasn’t happy, and of course in China where we had a very good result. But the most important thing is that everyone is happy, » he explained.

« Everyone knows his work, and I think we form a good team for the coming year. It’s always good to know that your colleagues feel happy. »

« We’ll simply keep our feet on the ground, » concluded Vettel.
