Honda formalizes its 2008 test driver lineup
The Honda Racing team announced, during the launch of its RA108, that Mike Conway and Luca Filippi will be their young drivers in the test driver lineup for the 2008 season.

Conway was part of Honda’s ‘young drivers’ program last season, while Filippi joins the team after testing for them at the end of last year.
Under the new rules that came into effect in 2008, the team has a limited number of test days and, more importantly, a limited number of test kilometers. Therefore, it has two drivers planned for the various tests in addition to Alex Wurz; these drivers will regularly be on the track but will also have time for other activities.
« I am really happy to continue my association with Honda Racing F1 Team and I expect a lot from this year. I have already learned a lot working with the team and it will be very rewarding for me, this year, to be able to contribute to the development of the car, » said Conway.
I drove the RA108 in Valencia last Friday, it was fantastic and I look forward to my next opportunity.
Filippi added: « It’s a great opportunity for me to be part of Honda’s program for young drivers, and I am really looking forward to working with the team. »
I hope to learn a lot from the team, the engineers, and the drivers, which will help me not only in driving an F1 car but also in my races in the GP2 series.
