Loeb still sees the Monte Carlo as a difficult challenge!

Loeb stated at the end of the 76th Monte Carlo Rally that he experienced an event that was always as complicated and difficult to tackle.

The Frenchman, who, after setting a new world championship record with 4 titles won, achieved another record this weekend. The record for the most Monte-Carlo wins with 5 victories. This already acquired experience does not prevent Loeb from finding the Monte-Carlo very difficult.

« Well, this year, the rally was not the toughest I’ve attended, but that doesn’t make it one of the easiest either! » declared the Alsatian.

This year, the Monte-Carlo had very changeable conditions with snow sometimes, and at other times, high heat.

Sébastien Loeb also explained that the circumstances forced him to constantly attack: “I knew that Dani Sordo would be competitive. He was last year, and this season, he has also shown that he would be a tough opponent.”

The Monte Carlo Rally WRC was held for the 76th consecutive time since 1911. It has always been on the WRC calendar, but with the alternating system, the legendary Monte Carlo will be scheduled in the IRC category – Intercontinental Rally Challenge – in 2008 and will therefore not count for the WRC.
