On this Friday, February 1st, and throughout the weekend, the world of F1 stops once again in Spain for testing, but this time in Catalonia at the Barcelona circuit.
The event organizers are preparing for the visit of 35,000 fans over the three days at the Catalunya F1 circuit.
The majority of the Formula 1 teams will be in action on the Spanish track in order to continue their preparation for the start of the 2008 season, which is only six weeks away.
Two important teams will be absent; Ferrari and Toyota have chosen to test on the Bahrain circuit instead.
In anticipation of the expected crowd this weekend, the Circuit de Catalunya will exceptionally open four gates, unlike usual for simple trials.
Food and drinks will, of course, be available to visitors. The entrance fee to attend the various test sessions is only six euros and is free for children under 11.
