Massa tries to reassure himself despite the problems!

Felipe Massa is not too worried about the reliability issues experienced by the F2008 during the Bahrain tests.

The Brazilian experienced an engine failure yesterday that abruptly halted his testing program. A day earlier, a small hydraulic issue occurred on the F2008.

Massa believes that the problem is not serious and that we must remain confident despite the programs not being able to run to completion.

« It was a good day, even though I didn’t finish the race due to an engine problem, » said Massa to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

« I think that it is not a crushing failure, and that it is possible to solve the problem before the Australian Grand Prix. »

« We would all have preferred to finish this simulation, but it is better to solve the problems now rather than let them penalize us during the first race. »

Despite the problems, the Ferrari driver remains optimistic about the performance of the F2008.

« I love the car: it’s not the final version for the first Grand Prix yet, but the performance and reliability are excellent nonetheless, » added the Brazilian.

« The two single-seaters are making good times compared to last year and compared to Toyota. We are already more than satisfied because we know we will improve further. »
