The BMW-Sauber team was unable to complete its scheduled testing program on the first day of tests at the Valencia circuit due to poor weather conditions.
The German team having decided to go “their own way” and not to test on the Barcelona circuit where five other teams will be present over the next few days.
BMW has therefore decided to put Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica to the test to perform checks on the F1.08 and thus collect data on a wet track with tires designed for this purpose. The team also conducted several pit stops.
Kubica completed a total of six laps while Heidfeld did 22. No time was issued.
The team will continue its tests in Valencia tomorrow.
