The Subaru duo Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson recorded the two best times in this morning’s shakedown, the final practice session before the start of the Rally Mexico.

The 5.13 kilometers of the special stage were laid out in San Juan de Otates, fifteen kilometers from the Poliforum of Leon.

The WRC crews had four hours to fine-tune the settings of their WRC. Solberg recorded the best time at 2’49”9, followed by his teammate Atkinson at 2’51”8.

Gigi Galli, from the Stobart team, went through the stage seven times, the morning record. The Italian secured the third-fastest time on his last attempt. Dani Sordo and Jari-Matti Latvala share the fourth-fastest time.

The world champion Sébastien Loeb only had time to pass through once after his Citroën C4 WRC stopped on the road during the special stage. Brought back to assistance, his car was fitted with a new engine. Loeb recorded the ninth-fastest time in 2’56″0.
