After the rumors, Senna speaks out…

On the question of a possible option, he added: « There are not even any potential negotiations in this direction. First of all, I look at the best options available to me. Then we can start negotiating. But at the moment, it is still the observation phase. »

Senna admitted that his management team and himself were in discussions with nine out of the ten F1 teams!

« We talked to many, many people about the best short-term and long-term options. There’s no point in doing something for next year and then having nothing to sink our teeth into by 2010 or 2011, » continued Senna.

He stated that he does not rule out a role as a test driver with a team if he does not find a seat for 2009.

I would definitely prefer a full-time position, that’s for sure. It’s the best option because I don’t want to stop racing for several years.

On the question of whether winning the GP2 title would prove crucial for entering the F1 world, Bruno Senna explained: « In my opinion, it’s important to have that background. Sometimes things don’t go as you wish, but believe me, I will give up the title only when I have no chance of winning it anymore. I’m sure I can do a good job. »
