N. Technology’s legal action against the governing body of motorsport, the FIA, was dismissed by the French high court. The Tribunal de Grande Instance of the French capital dismissed N. Technology’s claims, owned by the MSC Mauro Sipzs organization, regarding irregularities in the selection process of new teams.
Although the case was heard earlier this month, the verdict has only just been made official. According to a statement from the FIA: « The Tribunal de Grande Instance of Paris has confirmed the FIA’s selection process for new teams in the 2010 Formula 1 World Championship. Consequently, it has dismissed a lawsuit filed by the British company MSC, one of the unsuccessful candidates. »
« The court dismissed all the points raised by MSC and ordered the company to pay the FIA’s legal costs. MSC was one of the 15 new organizations to apply to compete in the 2010 championship. The FIA’s selection process was closely observed for all applications with the help of financial controllers from Deloitte & Touche and other technical experts. »
