The Lotus team unveils its new logo

Lotus F1 Racing unveiled its new logo today, keeping the famous green/yellow of the legendary English brand, while at the same time providing the F1 team with a completely new identity. It is written in full, ‘Lotus F1 Racing’ with the words ‘Lotus’ and ‘Racing’ in bold.

During a press conference held in Malaysia today, where Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen were confirmed as 2010 drivers, team principal Tony Fernandes explained the choices made with this new logo: “We have thought long and hard about our brand and the team’s logo, and I am very pleased with the final result,” he stated.

F1 fans will immediately recognize the classic colors, green and yellow of Lotus, but we have given it an essential modern touch. We do not claim to be the Lotus of the past, but we are honored to carry that name in Formula 1 at the start of a new decade of racing. We will build on its heritage and use it to inspire and motivate our team, Lotus F1 Racing.
