Preparations for the Campos Meta team continue as yesterday the team’s Formula 1 car passed the final mandatory FIA crash tests. The Spanish team’s 2010 single-seater is being developed by the Italian manufacturer Dallara. These technical advancements come as Campos has just reached a financial agreement that will secure its place on the grid.

Team manager Adrian Campos claims to be satisfied with the current rate of development. The first official tests will take place in Spain next month, despite recent weeks’ speculations suggesting that the team was struggling to gather the necessary funds to start the season.

« The car is now approved and we are still very, very motivated, » said Campos. « We are very confident about our position, and we are close to an agreement with an investor. »

Campos hopes to join the other teams for the third round of testing in Jerez, which will take place from February 17 to 20. However, if this presence is not ensured, it will happen in Barcelona at the end of the month. The team hopes to announce its second driver within fifteen days while Bruno Senna has already signed for this year 2010.
