Felipe Massa believes he is now ready to get back to work with the new Ferrari single-seater starting at the beginning of next month. He just completed a final day of testing at the wheel of an F2008 in Barcelona two days ago.
The Brazilian completed nearly 90 laps of the Circuit de Catalunya behind the wheel of a two-year-old single-seater, equipped with demonstration tires due to the testing ban in Formula 1. No lap times were published after his run, but Massa was delighted with how the day turned out.
« It was an ideal way to optimize my training here in Barcelona. I am really happy to have gotten this new opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car on a racetrack. I am very eager to sit in the new car, » confessed the one who came very close to the world title in 2008.
Massa will be present at the launch ceremony of Ferrari’s 2010 car in Maranello next Thursday, before his first day of testing in Valencia on February 1st.
