The Jerez circuit in the south of Spain expects to be hit by more rain this week as the small world of Formula 1 stops again for testing. The teams already had to limit their dry running last week during the first four days of testing. The weather for these second tests on the Spanish track is expected to be the same.
The worst in terms of rain is expected on Thursday, but the forecast suggests a threat of showers on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
One of the ideas put forward by the teams suggested the possibility of relocating the tests to Portimao in Portugal or Barcelona, but the project was abandoned due to logistical constraints.
It is Lotus that is the most anticipated this week with its very first tests. The new team Virgin Racing is eager to cover more kilometers after its extremely limited run last week due to an issue with its front wing assembly. The tests will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, in Jerez.
