At the conclusion of this first Grand Prix of the 2010 season from Bahrain in the Middle East, four teams have emerged and confirmed the predictions for this beginning of the year. Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes, and Red Bull will compete for the Constructors’ Championship, and hence eight drivers will contest the individual title. During the first race of the season, these eight drivers finished at the top. The accolade goes to Ferrari, achieving a double with Alonso ahead of Massa. McLaren and Hamilton take the podium, while Vettel and Red Bull missed the victory and find themselves in 4th place. Next are the two Mercedes drivers with Rosberg ahead of Schumacher. Button (McLaren) and Webber (Red Bull) share the last two places of this top 8. Liuzzi for Force India and Barrichello for Williams also score points. Lotus drivers took the lead among the new teams since Chandhok and Senna for Hispania and Glock and di Grassi for Virgin retired. The same situation for the two Sauber drivers (de la Rosa and Kobayashi) and Petrov for Renault.
