There is indeed an official ranking in Formula 1 that allocates points based on the importance of the positions achieved, with a new descending scale. Starting at 25 for the first and ending at 1 point for the 10th place. This scale only rewards drivers who finish in the top ten; drivers regularly in the top 12 (first half) are never acknowledged, even though this position is almost as important as the tenth position that awards a point.
To make amends, Motorsinside.com invents the consistency ranking: Each driver receives a point in reverse order of their finish, provided they have crossed the checkered flag.
In case of abandonment, he receives no points. The first receives 24 points, the second 23, the third 22, and so on. The 24th, if there is one, will therefore receive just one point. In the end, a ranking is obtained based on the position at the finish of each race, showing the consistency of each competitor and allowing the driver to be rewarded for the work they do within the team, not just based on their position.

For this first point of the season in this regularity ranking, 17 drivers finished the race, so 17 drivers score points while 7 do not make it to this ranking. At the end of the Bahrain race, there are many similarities with the official standings since the order is that of the Grand Prix finish. Alonso therefore has 24 points, followed by Massa with 23, Hamilton with 22, Vettel with 21, Rosberg with 20, and so on. The scale is decreasing by 1 point, so the last in this ranking to have scored are Buemi and Trulli with 9 and 8 points respectively. Seven drivers are therefore outside this table, namely the seven retirees of the day: Glock, di Grassi, Petrov, Senna, Chandhok, de la Rosa, and Kobayashi.
