For all Formula 1 fans eager for thrills and intense emotions, the 2010 roadshow program is back! A fantastic opportunity to get close to our single-seaters and meet our drivers.
Since 2004, the Renault F1 Team Roadshow has traveled the world, from city to city. The program’s idea is to make Formula 1 accessible to as many people as possible, all in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It’s also an opportunity to hear the very distinctive roar of an F1 car.
In recent years, the Renault F1 Team has visited cities such as Warsaw, Moscow, Rome, Mexico City, as well as Johannesburg and Sochi. The roadshows have also helped support the World Series by Renault with demonstrations performed during these events.
This weekend marks the beginning of the 2010 World Series by Renault season at Motorland in Spain. The Roadshow team will be present for two demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday. The single-seater used will be the R29, and the team’s reserve driver Jérôme d’Ambrosio will be driving it.
Eric Boullier, Team Principal, comments:
« The Renault F1 Team Roadshows are a key element of our approach to Formula 1 and they will continue to be so in 2010. Being present at events like the World Series allows fans to get closer to Formula 1 in a more open and relaxed context than during a traditional Grand Prix weekend. We have exciting projects in prospect this year, which should help us consolidate the positive image conveyed by our Roadshows. »
