Massa and Alonso face controversy

Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso join voices to make it clear that their relationship is still good despite the incident at the Chinese Grand Prix: « As it quite often happens, there is always someone who wants to create some confusion, » Massa stated on Ferrari’s website.

« The situation between Fernando and me is the same as it has always been, and an overtaking maneuver will change nothing between us. I have already explained after the race what happened, and I think it’s pointless to repeat everything, but obviously, there’s someone who doesn’t want to understand. »

« If I spoke to Fernando? Of course, just like we talk to each other every day when we are together. We both know very well what Ferrari wants from us, » added the Brazilian.

Alonso was also affected by articles suggesting a rift between him and Massa, and the Spaniard believes the question doesn’t even need to be asked: « I’m surprised by what I’ve said. I’ve already stated in Shanghai: This episode is the creation of a rumor just because it happened between two teammates. If the other car had been green or grey, we would all have celebrated this maneuver, but we are only wasting time with the controversy, where there is nothing to say. »
