Broken vertebra for Daniel de Jong
After his impressive accident during the first GP2 race, Daniel de Jong suffers from a broken vertebra.

The images were chilling: Daniel de Jong’s MP Motorsport car crashing straight into the tire wall at high speed. For endless minutes, everyone worried about the fate of the young driver. Fortunately, the driver was able to be extracted from his single-seater, whose survival cell perfectly fulfilled its role.
Nevertheless, later in the evening, it was announced that the driver had been taken by helicopter to the hospital in Liège for examinations. These revealed that he had suffered a fracture of the sixth vertebra, which required a four-hour operation.
The driver is now in stable condition and is still at the hospital in Liège.
