Nathanael Berthon gives up his place to Patric Niederhauser for Monza
The world of GP2, dominated by Stoffel Vandoorne, arrives this weekend for the eighth meeting of the season at Monza. For this event, Nathanael Berthon is competing in ELMS with Murphy Prototypes. He will be replaced at Lazarus Team by Patric Niederhauser.

Author of a seventh place in both the main and sprint races in Belgium, the Auvergnat accrues important points for his modest team. Nevertheless, the native of Romagnat preferred to compete in the ELMS race at the Paul-Ricard circuit rather than attending the F1 weekend in Italy.
I have made the choice to race at @PaulRicardTrack with @MurphyPrototype for the @EuropeanLMS instead of Monza. Forza @teamlazarus #RockIt !

He will therefore be replaced by Patric Niederhauser, a regular in the GP3 world. Over three seasons, he drove for Jenzer Motorsport, where he achieved eight podiums, including four victories. His best performance was a seventh place in the championship.
If he now competes in the Lamborghini Blancpain Series, he spoke on the official GP2 website: “I am very happy to make my debut in GP2 with Daiko Team Lazarus at Monza next weekend. I am ready to seize this opportunity. It will be a huge challenge, with many new things to learn. I thank them for giving me this chance and I will do everything possible to achieve the best result for them.”
His teammate for this round will be Sergio Canamasas, who is still replacing Zoel Amberg.
