Sergey Sirotkin joins ART Grand Prix
Sergey Sirotkin displays his ambitions for the upcoming GP2 season: by joining ART Grand Prix, he can only aim for the title.

Sergey Sirotkin’s first season in the category ended well for the young Russian driver as he managed to secure third place in the overall standings, just one point ahead of Rio Haryanto.
Now that the two drivers who outpaced him, Stoffel Vandoorne and Alexander Rossi, will certainly no longer be there this season, he is ideally positioned to set out on the title hunt.
He will therefore have to help his new team defend its two titles obtained during the past season, as explained by Sébastien Philippe, the director of the French team: “After its successes in 2015 in both categories, in drivers and teams, ART Grand Prix now faces the significant challenge of remaining the leader in GP2. This challenge requires drivers with an exceptional profile, and Sergey perfectly meets this requirement. We are therefore delighted to have him with us and to be in a position to tackle the 2016 championship with the highest ambitions.”
The former Sauber protégé already knows one of his main rivals as Alex Lynn, who remains in the Williams program, will continue his collaboration with his 2015 team, Dams. But he will have the daunting task of making people forget Stoffel Vandoorne, who has almost broken all the records in the category…
