Official: The 2018 F2 calendar unveiled
The Formula 2 championship has just confirmed its calendar, which will consist of 12 weekends with two races each. The discipline will notably be present in France, at the Paul Ricard circuit, alongside the next Formula 1 French Grand Prix.

It is a record in the history of modern promotion formulas that a season has as many races as the 2018 Formula 2 season being prepared. Indeed, since 2012, where 11 meetings had been held, the number of race weekends had continued to decrease.
The round contested on the Jerez circuit in Andalusia will logically disappear from the calendar after being organized to compensate for the absence of the German Grand Prix. However, the return of Formula 1 to Hockenheim will not change anything, as Formula 2 will not be present there. Among the news, the Formula 1 feeder series will go for the first time to the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet in support of the return of the French Grand Prix. Formula 2 will also return to Sochi after two seasons of absence.
