Jordan King takes off towards IndyCar
After three seasons in GP2/F2, Jordan King decided to try his luck in the United States. He will participate in road races with Ed Carpenter Racing.

For two years, Jordan King was a development driver for Manor, benefiting from the fact that his father was on the team’s board of directors. This culminated in participation in the free practice sessions in Austin in 2016.
In parallel, he had spent two seasons with Racing Engineering before moving to MP Motorsport this year. The results were disappointing as he finished in an anonymous 11th place overall. While he had been able to achieve two wins and six podiums with the Spanish team, he never returned to the podium with his new team.
For 2018, he has decided to turn to the United States and IndyCar. However, he is not ready to make the leap to oval racing and has therefore reached an agreement with Ed Carpenter Racing to compete in all street and road courses. It is the team’s co-owner, Ed Carpenter, who will take the wheel for the oval races.
The goal will therefore be to showcase oneself during this part of the season in order to secure a full-time seat at the start of the 2019 season.
