Luca Ghiotto continues in F2 with Campos
Third team in three F2 seasons for Luca Ghiotto. The Italian will now defend the colors of Campos.

In 2015, Luca Ghiotto fought until the end of the season with Esteban Ocon for the GP3 title, before conceding to the Frenchman. He then logically moved up to the next category, at the time known as GP2, still within the Trident team. This resulted in an eighth-place finish in the championship.
Last year, he had the choice to leave the Italian team to join Russian Time. His season can be considered successful as he finished fourth in the championship, with another win to his credit. Combined with his teammate Artem Markelov’s second-place finish, this allowed the Russian team to secure the first F2 title in history.
However, the team is no longer present in the category, which forced Luca Ghiotto to find a new team. This is now done as he joins Campos. The driver market has been fully filled for the Spanish team since no less than six drivers have occupied its two seats during the past season. This resulted in a ninth place in the Teams’ championship.
Despite the statements of enthusiasm about joining his new team, one could say that the task of the young Italian may be difficult to retain his place in the championship.
