Announced as the third driver for the team, eight-time world champions in December 2018, Nicholas Latifi will finally be able to get his hands on the Grove-based single-seater. Formerly a test driver for Force India, these private tests in Bahrain will allow the Canadian driver to get back behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car, the first time since the free practice in Abu Dhabi. Williams has not specified whether the Toronto native will drive for one or two days.

Note that the Canadian is starting his fourth season in Formula 2 and is highly anticipated as a serious contender for the title. He has already made a mark, with a victory in the main race on Saturday, and second place in the overall standings, two points behind Luca Ghiotto, who leads after his second place in the main race, combined with his victory in the sprint race on Sunday, a few hours before the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
