The 2021 F2 and F3 calendars revealed
In line with Formula 1, the calendars for Formula 2 and Formula 3 have been revealed, and several major changes are noteworthy.

The Formula 2 and Formula 3 championships will radically change their format. Indeed, gone are the weekends where one could attend races from all three championships; F2 and F3 will be present at Formula 1 Grand Prix events, but never together.
In order to reduce costs, it has been decided to reduce the number of meetings in F2 and F3. However, the organization is considerably different since there will no longer be 2 races during a weekend, but rather 3 races. There will therefore be as many, if not more races, but fewer meetings, which significantly reduces costs.
« As announced last week, one of our cost control measures for 2021 is to limit the number of rounds, which will automatically reduce the teams’ budgets. But thanks to F1 and the support of the FIA, we will now have three races per event. » Declared Bruno Michel, CEO of F2 as well as F3.
Formula 2 and Formula 3 will therefore race on 15 different circuits, F2 on circuits in Europe and the Middle East, F3 in Europe and the United States.
