Théo Pourchaire uncertain for Silverstone following his injury
Involved in an accident with Dan Ticktum during the main race of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Théo Pourchaire fractured his left radius. He is therefore uncertain for the next round of the championship in England.

Not everything went as planned. After his magnificent performance in Monaco, Théo Pourchaire wanted to replicate his feat on the streets of Baku. The Frenchman finished in 5th and 9th place in the first sprint races of the weekend, before starting the main race.
Qualifying fourth, his start was eventful right from the first corner. The French driver manages to take third place from Oscar Piastri, before being jostled by Liam Lawson who is defending his second position.
The issues began at the third turn for Théo Pourchaire who finds himself fighting with Dan Ticktum and Marcus Armstrong. The Frenchman is caught in a sandwich, and contact is inevitable. The race ends here for Pourchaire and Armstrong.
However, the consequences are more severe for the Formula 2 rookie. Upon his return to the pits, the 17-year-old driver holds his right forearm and is examined by a doctor. The Frenchman is then taken to the nearest hospital for tests. The verdict is in: left radius broken.
Contacted by AUTOHebdo, the young driver declared: “I wanted to tell you that I am okay. […] I have a slightly fractured left radius, it hurts but I will be fine. My arm needs to be immobilized for 4 weeks. I will give everything to come back as soon as possible. I have already changed my diet (milk, vitamin K and D) to strengthen my bones and ensure their regeneration. I do not know yet if I will be racing in Silverstone but I will work hard and pray to be ready.”
The race against the clock is now on for Théo Pourchaire, as the Silverstone weekend will take place from July 16 to 18.
