Spanish Grand Prix – Drugovich wins!
Felipe Drugovich (MP Motorsport) dominated the sprint race with great mastery. Ayumu Iwasa (DAMS) stepped onto his first podium, as did Sargeant (Carlin) who completed the podium.

The Brazilian Felipe Drugovich secures his second victory this season today under the heat of the Barcelona circuit. He had set the tenth fastest time yesterday in qualifying, but was deemed guilty of obstructing Théo Pourchaire. He was demoted three places on the grid for the sprint race.
This didn’t prevent him from taking the lead at the first turn. Callan Williams, in pole position, stalled before the formation lap. Drugovich took advantage of this to pass Théo Pourchaire, who had a bad start, and Jake Hughes.
The race followed its course, except for Jake Hughes who, as the laps went by, lost performance in his tires.
Théo Pourchaire, on the other hand, a bit further back in the pack, benefited from Juri Vips’ abandonment as he went off track at turn 4, allowing him to move up one position. He managed to surpass Hughes to finish the race in fifth place.
Ayumu Iwasa and Logan Sargeant complete the podium and today they have signed their very first one!

Clément Novalak finishes in fourteenth place despite a good race and a mistake in turn 9 on the penultimate lap.
See you tomorrow at 11:35 for the main race where Jack Doohan will start on pole position.
