Monaco Grand Prix – Dennis Hauger’s first victory
Dennis Hauger took the lead of the race right from the start and managed to lead every lap of the race. Jake Hughes, starting from pole position due to the reverse grid, stalled at the start.

Jake Hughes was able to start the sprint race following his accident in qualifying yesterday. He started from pole position.
Unfortunately, the VAR driver stalled at the start. Dennis Hauger, the rookie from Prema, took advantage of it and took the lead. He held on to the first position and led all 30 laps of this sprint race, claiming his first victory in his Formula 2 career.
It’s a double for the Prema team, Jehan Daruvala finishes in second place and achieves another podium this season. Marcus Armstrong (Hitech GP) completes the podium.
Felipe Drugovich, the championship leader, had to retire due to a puncture in the first lap and a failed gamble to go out on wet tires (despite no rain being forecasted).
Théo Pourchaire, on the other hand, managed to gain two positions and finished in sixth place. He regained three points from the Brazilian.
Clément Novalak withdrew after a contact with Ayumu Iwasa.
