Barcelona F2 Trials: Jack Doohan once again the fastest on the second day
The F2 was still in Barcelona for the second day of testing. And just like the day before, the Australian from the Alpine Academy set the fastest time in a day marked by rain and a few red flags.

This Thursday marked the second day of Formula 2 testing in Barcelona. After a first day led by Jack Doohan, it was once again the Australian who set the fastest time of the day. However, he did not improve his previous lap time, with a 1:24.177 yesterday compared to 1:24.318 today.
The Alpine driver surpassed Frederik Vesti as well as the Frenchman, Théo Pourchaire, the current championship leader. Most of the laps were done in the afternoon, due to the rainy weather conditions in the morning, which soaked the track. It was under these conditions that the morning session was interrupted by numerous red flags, notably those of Clément Novalak, Jak Crawford, Roy Nissany, Dennis Hauger, and Enzo Fittipaldi.
The track dried up in the late morning, allowing for slight improvements like Kush Maini, who took advantage of it to set the best time, with 1:28.049, ahead of Arthur Leclerc. It was in the afternoon that the drivers were able to accelerate and work under normal, rain-free conditions. The session was almost uninterrupted, except for the red flags caused by Jak Crawford and Jack Doohan, who was able to resume and set the best lap time towards the end of the session.
This Friday will be the last day of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya.
