Hungarian Grand Prix – F2 Sprint Race: Hauger wins ahead of Iwasa and Bearman
Hauger wins the sprint race of the Hungarian Grand Prix ahead of Iwasa and Bearman. Théo Pourchaire and Victor Martins finish fourth and seventh respectively, while Clément Novalack was forced to retire.

Silverstone has reshuffled the cards! Frederik Vesti did not have a happy weekend to increase the gap and sees Théo Pourchaire coming back just six points behind. Nothing is yet set in this F2 championship as there are only five Grand Prix left before the end of the season.
At the end of the lights of this sprint race, Dennis Hauger gets a better start than pole-sitter Kush Maini and takes the lead. He quickly widens the gap while the rest of the pack remains tightly packed. A bit later, Clément Novalack makes a bad maneuver and comes into contact with Ralph Boschung’s car at the first corner, forcing both drivers to retire. The race is neutralized under a virtual safety car, benefiting Hauger. His lead increases to over two seconds. The Norwegian just has to manage this gap to secure the victory. Only a few laps before the checkered flag, Iwasa, who has closed the gap to one second, briefly worries the young driver. However, Hauger doesn’t falter and ultimately wins on the Hungaroring circuit.
The restart also provided an opportunity to observe the battle between Pourchaire and Bearman. The Frenchman, more reactive, managed to overtake the Briton. He then tried to continue his comeback but attacked Maini too late. Hindered by a car that cut in front of him, the Indian driver had to slow down to avoid damaging his front wing. Bearman took advantage and crossed the finish line in 3rd position.
