Belgian Grand Prix – F2 Qualifying: Bearman secures his 3rd pole position just before the arrival of rain
In a session condemned by the arrival of rain, it was the Prema drivers who were the smartest. Bearman secures pole position ahead of Vesti. Martins and Pourchaire are 3rd and 5th.

The qualifying session starts on a dry track, but some drivers are predicting the return of light rain. This beginning of the qualifying session promises to be crucial. Suddenly, Joshua Mason, a newcomer this weekend, goes off track at turn 9 and triggers a red flag.
During the red flag, Kush Maini’s engineer announces the arrival of heavy rain in the coming minutes. The clouds look threatening. However, the drivers go back out on slick tires since the heavy rain is not falling on the track. Only Kush Maini goes out on wet tires! The threat of rain still looms over the circuit.
Vesti and Bearman are the first ones to start their lap, with a clear track. In the last sector, it starts raining. Bearman sets the fastest time ahead of his teammate Fred Vesti. Victor Martins is in 3rd place, almost 2 seconds behind. Behind them, the other drivers have struggled in the rain and are several seconds behind the Prema drivers. There are still 20 minutes remaining, but with the heavy rain falling, the pole position has already been decided. Ollie Bearman will start on pole ahead of Fred Vesti. Victor Martins is in 3rd place and Théo Pourchaire is 5th.
