The first turn once again caused damage. Isack Haadjar’s teammate locked his wheels approaching the chicane. A collision occurred between the two Red Bull-colored cars. Paul Aron suffered from this poor braking and had to retire. Immediately, the safety car was deployed.

Zane Maloney, who had escaped the chaos of the first corner, saw his entire lead reduced to nothing. Just after the pit stop, Dennis Hauger was stopped in the escape road of the first chicane of the circuit. A new safety car was deployed. Isack Haadjar lost big in the pits. The Frenchman came back out in 18th position.

Several safety cars

On the restart, Kimi Antonelli and Joshua Dürksen engaged in a great battle. While the Italian managed to take the lead on several occasions, the top speed of the Aix Racing allowed him to regain his position each time.

Discreet until now, Victor Martins was very daring at the first braking by gaining two places in front of Juan Manuel Correia and Ollie Bearman. The Frenchman regained sixth place. The maneuver did not sit well with the Ferrari Driver Academy driver and he made it known on the radio.

The two Prema drivers were battling with the Frenchman, but were also fighting each other. On several occasions, contact was close, but the three men managed to stay clean. Kimi Antonelli eventually managed to overtake his teammate, who slightly ran wide into the gravel. The British driver lost two positions in the process.

The fight between the Prema drivers

Victor Martins also went on the attack on Joshua Dürksen. The latter made mistakes in turns 4 and 5. He had to go straight on. The situation benefited the Frenchman and the Prema drivers. Up front, Gabriel Bortoleto was leading without much difficulty. He managed his lead perfectly.

Kimi Antonelli launched an attack in the final laps. He managed to climb to fourth place. Victor Martins, meanwhile, dropped to sixth place. Gabriel Bortoleto had a flawless performance to win this main race. Isack Hadjar finished just outside the points.
