Formula E – Punta del Este Testing: Sarrazin Dominates Buemi
Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi) was the fastest during the test day held in Punta del Este following the Uruguayan ePrix. The Frenchman outpaced Saturday's winner, Sébastien Buemi (e.dams-Renault), and Nelson Piquet Jr (China Racing).

Stéphane Sarrazin, Venturi driver, achieved the best time in the private tests held in Punta del Este following the ePrix that took place on Saturday in the Uruguayan resort city. The Frenchman outpaced the race winner, Swiss Sébastien Buemi (e.dams-Renault).
Sarrazin signed his time in the final minutes of the session to edge out the Red Bull program driver by just over a tenth. He was delighted with his day: « It was a good day after a disappointing race. We had the speed but I made a mistake and could have scored some points. We worked on major setup changes because we usually don’t have the time and don’t want to risk it before a race. With the track rubbering in, everything went well. It was a positive day. »
Behind Sarrazin and Buemi, we find the strong men of the championship, with Nelson Piquet Jr, Nick Heidfeld, Jean-Eric Vergne, Lucas di Grassi, and Sam Bird. Also noteworthy are the five laps completed by the Argentine driver Esteban Guerrieri at the wheel of a China Racing team single-seater.
The majority of the drivers focused on conducting race simulations and managing their energy before really tackling the clock at the end of the day. The teams covered no less than 1,086 laps, a total of 3,040km.
