Formula E – Buenos Aires ePrix – Guerrieri aims for a seat with China Racing
Esteban Guerrieri experienced the new 100% electric single-seater championship during the test day held in Punta del Este, but the Argentine driver hopes to be able to race at home during the next Formula E round, which will take place in Buenos Aires.

After completing a few laps in one of the China Racing team’s single-seaters during the test day following the ePrix of Punta del Este in Uruguay, Esteban Guerrieri hopes to secure a seat with the Chinese team for the next round, which will be a home race for him in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, on January 10, 2015.
The Argentine driver who has raced in the Superleague, Indy Lights, and Formula Renault 3.5 and is currently competing in touring cars is rather optimistic on the championship’s official website: « There is a possibility of racing with China Racing in Argentina. They want us to work together, and they have a seat available. I am going to work with some sponsors and investors in Argentina. I hope it will happen. »
Guerrieri, who was only able to cover 5 laps in his debut behind the wheel of a Formula E car, was impressed by this new championship and the 100% electric single-seater: « I got into the car for five or six laps. It was incredible – the car was good. It reminded me of everything I experienced in single-seaters. The car had a very good level of grip, good brakes, but the most surprising thing is that there’s no engine noise, so you can hear every sound when you lock a wheel or go over a curb. »
He believes that the Buenos Aires race will be a success and therefore hopes to be part of it: « It will be huge, honestly. People in Argentina are very enthusiastic about motorsport. This event will take place in the heart of the city, so everyone will know about it and there will be a lot of people. »
